About Lesson

Extended Summary:
The bridge is a powerful full-body movement where you drive your hips upward while maintaining a stable base with your feet, shoulders, and head. This movement generates significant force through your core and lower body, creating space when pinned and serving as the foundation for many escapes and sweeps. When bridging, keep your feet close to your buttocks, plant them firmly, and drive through your heels while keeping your knees together. The bridge can be used defensively to create space when mounted or offensively to off-balance an opponent from guard. Variations include the straight bridge, side bridge, and bridge-and-roll combinations.
