Extended Summary:
The collar drag is a gi-based takedown that uses your opponent’s collar grip to off-balance and pull them forward. Typically performed from standing or seated guard, you grab deep into the collar and pull across the opponent’s centerline while stepping to the side. This breaks their posture and forces a forward stumble, allowing for a trip or direct transition to the back. It requires minimal strength and can be chained into other sweeps or takedowns. Timing and grip security are essential to execute the drag effectively.
